This Samsung NP700Z5B came in with a physically broken power plug. The customer reported tripping over the cord and the laptop falling from a small table. The all plastic internal dc jack basically shattered inside the notebook and needs replacement.Its uses a 7 pin dc jack that is soldered directly to the motherboard. The NP700 series also needs to be completely torn down to the main board level and have the board removed properly to perform the repair.
This model falls under our standard $65 parts and labor rate but this customer needed the $99 same day turn around time. We were able to overnight the laptop back for about $80 via Fed Ex.
Once the jack was replaced the laptop powers on and did a full battery charge.
