The Dell Inspiron 17R N7010 is the 17" version of the common N5010 laptops we work on with the power jack problems. These N5010 is a soldered on dc plug and the N7010 is a cable style dc jack that plugs directly into the motherboard. We perform the replacement of the damaged power jack for $65 parts and labor.This N7010 had a physically broken input and needed replacement. The notebook needs to be completely taken apart to the motherboard to access and replace the broken plug. It's held in by a plastic housing built into the bottom casing of the laptop and also held in by a single screw. Once replaced, the laptop powers and on and has a brand new internal dc connection.
