Toshiba L450 DC Power Jack Repair

The Toshiba Satellite L45o laptop is identical to the common L455 we see in every month. Like the L455 the dc plug is pushed back inside the laptop and the power cord can no longer connect properly.
Usually what this means is the plastic housing (bottom base of the notebook) is broken and the input jack is just hanging there. Sometimes it is the jack that's bad or both.
The L450 uses a cable style dc jack that's soldered onto the motherboard via four small pins. Sometimes you can reuse the cable and just solder a new plug in the tip of the cable.
The laptop needs to be completely taken apart to access the dc jack and requires the proper skills and tools. Like any laptop if you're not familiar with it you shouldn't try taking it apart.
Once repaired the laptop powers on and charges again.
We perform this service for $65 parts and labor.
