HP DM4 DC Jack Repair/Replacement

This hp dm4 laptop came in with a physically broken dc jack. This is a very nice looking sleek laptop that's definitely worth fixing.
Due to the kinda rare, cable style dc jack that plugs into the motherboard it runs $85 for the parts and labor.
The dm4 needs to be taken apart to the motherboard to access the dc jack. The old broken jack was replaced and the laptop powers on again.

MSI MS-1683 DC Jack Replacement

This MSI MS-1683 came in with a physically broken dc jack. The center pin (2.5mm) was completely gone and needs to be de-soldered off the motherboard and a new dc jack soldered on. The laptop needs to be completely taken apart to the mainboard to get to the power plug.
It uses a standard five pin, 2.5mm dc jack.
This is a new windows 7 laptop and was most likely dropped.
Once taken apart the old jack is de-soldered and a new one soldered back on.

Acer 7741Z DC Jack Repair

This Acer 7741z came in with a loose dc power jack. The laptop can't power on because it's not getting a good power connection.
The 7741 has a cable style dc jack that plugs into the motherboard.
The laptop also needs to be completely disassembled to reach the dc jack.
A 7741z requires an additional $20 due to the rare cable plug it uses.
After the power connection is replaced the laptop powers on and charges the battery.
